- Run activities that generate income to sustain UKUEM's work without dependence on outside funding
- Establish and manage economic projects
- Design ways to create work for UKUEM members so they can become self-employed
- Seek job opportunities for UKUEM members, in Tanzania and abroad
- Keep records of UKUEM members in need of support and provide assistance where possible
- Maintain records of UKUEM members and other Muslims obligated to pay zakat, collect it, and distribute it to those entitled
- Support the Treasurer in collecting contributions from members and other Muslims to grow UKUEM's fund
